Kadina
Kadina is identified as the major service centre within the Copper Coast, with its own thriving commercial area. Just over an hour and a half to Adelaide, the population is approximately 4200. Industrial areas including manufacturing are within five minutes of the CBD, that boasts a variety of small to large retail shopping options, health and specialist services, sporting clubs including a well serviced recreational centre, employment and training providers. The town has its own airstrip and is only 10 minutes drive to the beaches of Wallaroo and 15 minutes to the pristine waters of Moonta Bay and Port Hughes. Attractions include the Farm Shed Museum and Tourist Centre and heritage buildings. A broad range of employment opportunities exist within Kadina and surrounding townships including trades (plumbing, carpentry, building, mechanics, etc.), medical and aged care, retail, management; local and state government departments, community services, hardware, and machinery manufacturing. Kadina has that small country town feel with the added feature of being well serviced and being within a few minutes from some of SA’s most beautiful beaches. Education facilities are well catered with Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary Schools, a private school (R-12) in addition to a TAFE and childcare facilities being available. House prices are competitive, from $150,000 upward, and include historic old stone homes through to modern houses.
