Warooka with a population of just over 200 is located inland 10 minutes to the west of Yorketown, and is approximately 2½ hours from Adelaide. The town is gateway to the Innes National Park and provides access to a general and hardware store for both locals and for travellers heading to and from the bottom end of Yorke Peninsula. Medical services are provided by a weekly visiting GP or can be accessed in Yorketown. Warooka has a Primary school with access to secondary schooling in nearby Yorketown. A transport company (general and refrigerated) is based at Warooka providing services to the Yorke Peninsula. Employment options may include plumbing, automotive and air conditioning, along with farming.
