Snowtown

Snowtown is situated at the foot of the Barunga Ranges, 145km North of Adelaide in South Australia’s Mid North. Traditionally the town has serviced the surrounding agricultural enterprises. Recently it has developed as a service centre for the wind farms that are erected along the Barunga Range. The town has a number of services including a school, childcare, kindy and play group, doctors, supermarkets, banks and hairdressers. Snowtown has a thriving sporting community with a strong netball and football club and local facilities for tennis, golf, cricket, croquet and bowls. There is also a local swimming pool.
